Wishing You Blue Skies

Happy Hump Day, my crafty friends! Julie here today, from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with another shaped card.  Today, it's a hot air balloon card, taking us away to a happy place:

I used the Joy's Life stamp set, "Pun in the Sun".  I just love this set! I think I've used it more than any other Joy's Life set I have, and they've all seen a lot of ink!

I made this card with my Silhouette and a file from The Cutting CafĂ©.  If you'd like more details, please visit my blog.

Flip Flopping Fabulous!

Make an inexpensive pair of flip flops more meaningful
to the recipient by adding one
of the many punny Joy's Life Sentiments.

You can easily coordinate colors and
styles to make the pair of flip flops.

This sentiment comes from "Pun in the Sun."

To make this flower dimensional, I used Pop Up Glue Dots ® between each layer.
I love how they gives depth, but also they are clear
so you don't see the white edges like regular dimensionals.
Be sure to add fun, flirty embellies too.
Here I used rhinestones, twine, and rumple ribbon.

Check out my blog for more ideas!

Flip flopping Fabulous Summer!

It's the first Saturday of Summer! The beaches will be hopping, so break out those flip flops! Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with a kick off to summer card to show you.
In honor of the start of summer, the Joy's Life design team has been kicking off summer all week. And, in honor of the first Saturday of summer, I'm breaking out this flip flop card:

It's a nesting bracket card, cut out on my Silhouette, that keeps flipping open.  Here it is completely open:

The sentiment is from the Pun in the Sun Stamp set, found in the Joy's Life store.

I'll leave you with a close up of the darling sentiment, just perfect for summer...

I'd love it if you'd stop by my blog and see the rest of this card.  It's a flip flopping fabulous design. Keep your flip flops handy -- it's summer!

Aloha

Good Morning!!

It's me, Jennifer, from

This week we are "Kicking off Summer" and my card says it all! I have been to Hawaii a few times and it is the most relaxing feeling in the whole world and the smell, oh the smell, so sweet and wonderful. So when I think of summer I think tropical landscapes aka Hawaii!

The palm tree and sunshine are form the Silhouette Studio and the hula girl is from Too Cute by Jessica, the "Hawaii Vacation Girls".

The sentiment I chose to use worked perfectly as well. It's from the "Pun in the Sun" set pictured below.

I hope that you all liked my project for the day
and I'll see you again soon!

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!!

Just sailing by...

to wish you Happy Tidings!!

This sentiment comes from Joy's Life: Pun in the Sun.
And you'll have fun making paper boats with your kids this summer.
Just use  pretty papers and stick them on your card endeavors!

Some twine accents help string along the nautical feel of this outdoorsy card!

Thanks for boarding this ship, er blog, today!

Best FISHES, Dad!

Hi, everyone, Julie here from Muddy Paws and Inky Fingers with a masculine themed card for you.
My brother took my 82 year old father fishing yesterday.  Some things are enjoyable at any age.  You're never too old to enjoy the things that matter -- spending time with your son, in a boat, soaking up the sun on a glorious June day in Wisconsin.
In honor of my father and his love of fishing, and with Father's Day in mind, I created this easel card for him using the Joy's Life "Pun in the Sun" stamp set...

For more of my work, and for details about this card, please stop by my blog.
Best Fishes, Dad.  May you have many more years out on the water.
