It's Back to School Time!

Greetings, crafty friends, Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers, hoping you are having a fantastic Labor Day weekend.

With this being Labor Day, it also means school starts tomorrow here in the small town where I live, so our 'Back to School' theme this week with the design team is perfect!

When I was looking for ideas, I saw this shaped card, and knew what I wanted to do.  What do you think?

Well, Dog-gone it!

Hi, Joy's Life friends. Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I hope you are enjoying the last weekend in August. Summer's almost over, dog-gone it, anyway!

We've "gone to the dogs" this week with the Joy's Life design team.

My husband and I are deliberating whether or not to add another dog to our house, so this card seems most appropriate right now:

 

 

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out this fun card, and the Joy's Life Stamp set, Punny Animals. There are so dog-gone many cute sentiments included with this set!

One last wade in the creek

Summer is drawing to its end. 

But, there is still sometime to enjoy nature

and the wild life around and in the lovely waterways.

To celebrate, I chose to use this Quack Me Up sentiment from Joy's Life: Punny Animals.

I used Micro Glue Dots © to get the fine shapes glued down.

Lunch Notes

I had so much fun creating a pile of lunch notes for my kids yesterday! Over the next month, schools are calling classes to order. I enjoy tucking notes and cards into my kids' lunches from time to time.

With the many sentiments from Joy's Life, you can make their day a little brighter!

I also thought it might be fun to use up my dwindling stash of stickers.  Yes, Stickers.  Gasp. I know...evil stickers! lol. But...I think you will really like how these turned out!

I picked these darling hoot owls from Colorbok over a year ago.

Perfect for school stuff...or to decorate the keyboard area of my laptop!

LOL

I made 3 of each...with slight variation...as I have 3 kids!

It was so fun to use paper from a memo pad to create this 

cheerful note! Simple adhere it together using Ultra Thin Glue Dots ®.

This one is extra special b/c I only had stickers enough for one card.

I guess I *DO* need to add to my sticker collection!

Every kid has a sweet tooth...right?

And, I don't think they will mind being called "Sugar"

 if there was a piece of candy tucked in with this note!

Inspire that student of yours...

All of these note cards measure 3.5 x 2.5 when finished.  Simply cut your paper: 5 x 3.5 inches...and fold in half!  Dig through your stash of stickers...add your favorite embellies.

Top it all off with sensational sentiments from Joy's Life.

Back to school treat box

Hello Joy's Life fans! Megan here with a back to school project! I thought this would be fun to put in a lunch box filled with treats or fruit snacks or whatever. I used several stamps because I thought my daughter would get a kick out of the puns.

I used four sayings from the Punny Animals stamp set.

Puppies are the BEST!

Happy Saturday, Joy's Life fans.  It's Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers, and I wanted to let you know that today is my birthday!  How fun that I get to post on my big day!

We're having a "free for all" week this week, meaning we can use any theme and any stamp set we wish.  How fun is that?

It worked out perfectly for me, as I needed a couple gifts for 2 friends that got new puppies.  We had a get-together this week to meet the puppies and to introduce the puppies to each other.
