Tree-mendous Holiday Wishes!

Happy Monday, friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  I hope you had a great weekend.  We had a day of beautiful, light snow yesterday and it put me in the holiday spirit.
Today is my last post for the Joy's Life Design Team this term. I've really enjoyed the two terms I've served on this team, and hope to continue again in the future.
Our theme this week is "It Sparkles & Shines".  With that in mind, I made a Christmas card, and added lots of bling!

I used the Joy's Life Stamp Set, "Oh Christmas Puns" on this card.
the sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder to really make it stand out.

I found this cutting file in the Silhouette Online Store. Contrasting colored paper, bling, brads with bling, some 3D foam squares, and it was a wrap.
Thanks for supporting me through my Joy's Life design team projects.  It's been a great ride!

Holiday TrEATs

Hi everyone, Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. Christmas keeps getting closer!  This week, the design team is featuring 3D Christmas projects. I need lots of little treat boxes and bags to give away for little gifts, so this worked out well for me. Here's my 3D creation:

I used sentiment stamps from both Joy's Life "Wintery Puns" and "Oh, Christmas Puns."  You can find both of them, and all of Joy's wonderful stamps here in her store.

Well, the days are flying by, and I've got more Christmas gifts to make, so I better get busy!  If you'd like more details on this 3D project, please visit my blog. Thanks for visiting! come back each day this week to see the other incredible 3D projects.

Warm Decembrrr Wishes

Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.
Oh my gosh, it's December! Are you ready?  I hope to send out my Christmas cards this week, and everyone on the list gets a homemade one.  I've been busy creating.  So, it worked out perfectly that the Joy's Life design team is showcasing Christmas Cards this week. I made two to show you. I hope you like them!

I used the same cutting file on both of these cards, a mitten shaped card. What a difference the paper and embellishments make, huh?

Both cards use the Joy's Life Wintery Puns stamp set.

You can find it, and all of Joy's wonderful stamps, here in her store.  Don't forget to check out the great bundle prices!

To learn the details of these cards, please visit my blog.

That's all for me today.  While my Silhouette is warmed up, I've got my Christmas cards to make!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello, crafty friends! It's time to think Christmas! Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with today's post.  Our design team theme this week is "Ho, Ho, Ho".  So, it's time to jump into Christmas, and I did with this card -- of Santa, set to jump down the chimney.

The card is a square 5x5. This Santa silhouette is in the Silhouette Online Store.  I found the perfect sentiment for Santa's plunge on the Joy's Life stamp set "Oh Christmas Puns".

Here's a close up of the sentiment, ribbon, and twine.

I'm Nuts about YOU!

Hello, crafty friends.  Julie here again from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers posting twice this week. We had an empty day, so I'm filling in.  The design team theme this week is "yum, yum, yum."
I love to make treat bags and boxes, so I fired up the Silhouette, and made a quick little treat bag, perfect for Fall:

I used the Joy's Life stamp set "That Tastes Punny" on this treat bag.  I thought it was the perfect sentiment for this die cut acorn.

To learn more details about this project, and to see what else I've been working on, please visit my blog.
I hope you enjoyed today's yummy treat bag.  I had a great time making it!

A Veteran's Day Thank You

Happy Monday, Joy's Life fans.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.
Today is Veteran's Day, and it's a big day at the nursing home. There are many Veterans where I work.  Fewer and fewer of them are WWII veterans, but there still are quite a few.  They are a generation where defending their country didn't feel like a choice to them, it felt like a duty.  Saying thanks seems like the least we can do for our veterans.  They have given so much for our freedom.
My father is a veteran, and will be at the Veteran's Day Program at the nursing home today.  Sometime during the day, I'm going to slip him this little treat box, just so he knows I love him, and I'm thankful for him.

I put some of his favorite chocolates in the box.  He'll be happy!
I used the Joy's Life stamp set, "It's All Fall Puns" on the sentiment.
I cut this box out on my Silhouette.  Here's another view of the box:

If you'd like more details about this treat box, please visit my blog
Don't forget to thank a Veteran today -- and everyday.

Give Thanks for November

Happy November, everyone! A month to count our blessings.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  I love Fall, with the brilliant colors of the leaves, but it's the season the follows that seems to last waaaaay to long!  This week, the design team is featuring projects using Fall colors. I love the Fall color palette.  They are some of my favorite colors -- I seem to gravitate towards earth tones and blues. I found some Close to My Heart papers that had blues and earth tones in them, a leaf shaped card from The Cutting CafĂ©, and got busy cutting it out on my Silhouette:

The sentiment is from the Joy's Life stamp set, "It's All Fall Puns".  Visit the Joy's Life store to see all the wonderful stamp set -- and the great bundle prices!  A white gel pen to add some faux stitching, and a little crinkle ribbon, and this card is a wrap.  Now, it's time to rake the thousands of leaves in my yard -- if only they were all this pretty!  For more details about this leaf shaped card, and to see other projects I'm working on, please visit my blog.
