A card with a Sweet Surprise

Hi everyone, it's me Jeannie here with a fun card for you today.
We have all been focusing on how to use the different craft containers that you can find on the Product page on Joy's Life.com.
So today I am using one of the mixed sized tubes and also some of the sentiments from Sweet Popsicle Puns.
Here is the front of the card.

A close up of the sentiment on the card front.

From the side you can see the tube filled with candy..

When you open the card you can see the surprise inside.

Doesn't that make and extra special card?

I love using the stamps here and there.

Here is one last look at the card, the cute little girl is from one of my Mary Engelbreit calendar pages.

All of my papers are from Canvas Corp, ahhh how I love Canvas Corp papers!!!
That is my card for today!  I hope you enjoyed it.
This has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today's post.

The stamped saying comes from

(Joy will also be carrying the tubes in the near future.)

For the details on how I made this super fun tube holder, please visit my blog.

You Are A Treasure

Hello there friends of Joy's Life!  Sarabeth from Chronicles of Sarita here today with a special test tube treat holder-it's in a card!  This week the entire team is playing with altering Test Tube holders and it's my turn today along with the very talented Patty!  For this project I used the "You Are A Treasure" stamp from the You're So Punny Stamp Set and the "Friend" stamp from Everyday Occasions.  Here it is:
I figured this to be the perfect little gift for a scrappy friend of mine who shares the love of Bling-y treasures as much as I do.  I used a few scraps from my favy scrap saver box I have, along with some kraft card stock and of course, BLING!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you will share with us your altered test tube creations!  Have a scrappin' day and keep scrollin' to check out the rest of the DT creations!!!!!

PS-have you checked out the new stamps available?  If you haven't then stop on by HERE now to see!

Friendship Tube

Hi Everyone! Nina here with another project for Joy's Life Stamps! I am so excited about Joy's new release. Today I am using three sets on this friendship tube.

Hearts and sentiment "best friends" from Joyful Hearts Set; "enjoy" from Sweet Popsicle Puns and littler heart from Tag You're It Set One. Yummy, right? The tube and the twines are also from Joy (Wink!)

When I first got the Joyful Hearts set, I knew it would be perfect for a tube project! I stamped the heart and vertical sentiment "best friends" on a scrap of paper and put it in the tube:) I cut out another heart and poped it on with some foam adhesive:) I used a 1-1/4" scallop for the cap: See how the "enjoy" and the little heart fit nicely on it? Love!

Do you know that the Marvy extra jumbo heart punch is perfect for the hearts? See the photo below :) Just enough bleed that you do not need to be perfect to have a perfect heart! :) Easy!

The stamps are now available here! Thank you for stopping by Joy's Life Design Team Blog today! Happy Crafting!

Sweet Tubes work for lots of holidays!

This week Joy asked us to work with these adorable tubes! Since I had all of my Christmas stuff out anyway, I decided to make a little Christmas themed gift set.

I often save the packaging from my scrapbook supplies, so I have a lot of these clear plastic boxes sitting around (this one is from some Webster's Pages pins). You could make this out of cardstock, but I think it's more sturdy since it's made out of a plastic box that I covered with paper. I used a punch to punch the circles for the tubes.
Here is a detailed shot of the stamp, which is actually from the Halloween Puns Stamp set.

The label die cut is from the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge. I just covered up the bird that was at the bottom of the leaf circle, with some holly leaves that I cut by hand and a couple of jewels.
I used Staz-On ink, but only inked it lightly so that it worked with the distressed papers. Check out more details on my blog.

Hello Sweetie Tube

Hey!! This is Jennie from Earthy Scrap!!
If you have been around you know that the theme of the week is Tubes!!
These are awesome party favors and we are giving you cool ideas to use them!!
I made book-like card to put the tube in.

I started with an 4 1/4 x 8 piece. I scored at 3 and 3 1/2 then turn around and do the same.
Using the paper trimmer cut through the score marks one inch away from the border.
Then fold and the big piece in the center is turned inside.
How did I closed it?? Easy I took a 1 x 3 inches piece of cardstock and score at 1 and 2 inches.
Glue the backpart to the back of the book/card and on the front use a Tombow Tab Fastener.
They self adhesive and easy to use. Do all the embellishing your little heart desires and just put the tube inside it :0)

The sentiment is from Yummy Puns Stamp Set.

To decorate the tube I just used washi tape and a sticker :0)

Easy as that!!
Too see more of my project come check out my blog Earthy Scrap.
Take Care!!

A Sweet Tube for a Sweet Friend

Hello everyone!  This is Amy, a.k.a. redheaded crafter!   Today I have something for you that is not a card!  *gasp* :)  This was made using the Everyday Occasions stamp set...  This set is so awesome!!!!  You can mix & match tons of different sayings!  :)  Our challenge this week was to create a project using the clear plastic tube.  The possibilities for this are endless, but I decided to go with a country feel...

Some Bunny Loves You!

Hi everyone!  Sarabeth here with a fun Easter Project to share with you all.  The team was challenged to create an Easter or Springtime themed project and here it is:

A test tube treat/money holder for a special little one.  I honestly will say that I had no intentions of doing money in this one, that is until Joy mentioned it :)  I used the "Some Bunny Loves You" stamp from the Wild Life Puns Stamp Set.

It's typical to see pastels this time of the year and I tried toning it down a bit since it is for a little boy and I even threw in a little bunny tail using a few felt circles and button-I definitely think this one's a winner :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to scroll down to see what the rest of the Design Team has been up to!  Some pretty cute stuff-happy scrappin'!!!!!
