My Insta Summer

TGIF everyone!  Sarabeth from Chronicles of Sarita here and it's my turn to share the Swatch Tag Mini I created!  I must say that although in the beginning this was quite a challenge-I just love love LOVE the way it turned out and I have plans for many, many more of these to be done in the near future!  I created a mini using all of my summer pics taken via Instagram and used only the paint swatches I picked up from our local Lowe's.  Take a peek:

(remember, you can always click on any of the pics for a larger image)

This mini pretty much sums up my summer so far.  I definitely plan on adding a few more pages to finish up the season in style on these awesome paint swatches.  Stop on by my blog for a few fun stories on how some of these pics came about :)  Do you Instagram?  Do you just store your photos on your phone or do you print them?  My Instagram name is sarabeth0613, I would love for you to check it out if you IG too!

Kitty Cat Swatch Tag Book

Hello!  It's Patty here with another post from the Crafty Kitten.  As you can tell from earlier DT posts this week, we are all doing our version of a Swatch Book.

I remember when I was a little girl, my dad installed Formica counter tops.  He had samples of all the colors available and they were bound with a key chain. Looking back, I realized that those were Swatch Books!

Since I have a house full of kitties, I decided I'd make a cat themed one.

The stamp I used on the cover is from Joy's Halloween Puns Set!

Here's where I'll journal about my cat, Panzer.  This stamp is from Joy's Lots Of Puns set.

This next page features a picture of Panzer with a stamp from Joy's new Pun In The Sun set. It's perfect for him because he is the sweetest cat EVER!
This page with my husband, Don, features a fun stamp from Joy's Sweet Popsicle Puns set and the paw print comes from Lots Of Pun.

There are three more pages to these swatch tags.  I hope you'll drop by my blog and take a look at them.  Every page features stamps available at JoysLife.com.

This was a lot of fun and is inspiring me to make  journaling cards in the hopes of getting back into scrap booking.  I hope you'll try this someday!

mini swatch tag key chain

I created a small key chain with the swatch tag assignment in mind. I didn't have any actual paint swatches so I used the base of a really small mini album and created the front with foam.
I stamped the foam with staz on ink using this beautiful quote from the Tag You're It TWO set.  The inside 'page' is an acrylic tag from the original mini album. I used glossy accents to affix the photo to the back of the acrylic so that it is protected.
I embellished this with a few small, flat embellishments, so that the key chain is easy to use. Check out my blog for more details.

Hello Sweetie Swatch Tag

Hello everyone! Are you enjoying all the fun swatch tags we are having on the DT blog this week? I enjoyed it a lot making mine!
"Hello Sweetie" from Yummy Pun Stamp Set. Photo from my stash.

Easy and cute! You can get the stamps here! Visit my blog here! Happy Crafting!

This is my last post as a Joy's Life design team member. Joy took me on her amazing team when I was a rookie. I was very lucky to be in such a talented, well-organized, friendly and supportive team. I enjoyed every one of my assignments and have grown so much during my two terms. It was a hard decision but I have decided to take a break. I will still be using Joy's stamps and maybe join the team for blog hops or things like that. Thank you Joy, for a fun and memorable design team experience. I appreciate it. I will miss you! Hugs, Nina <3

A little "Mary" & Joy for you!

Hello everyone, Jeannie from The Polka Cabana here today with a fun gift card/tag/letter etc. idea
All of us on the Joy's Life DT are working with these Swatch Tag sized projects and here is my completed project.

Here is a side view, these tags could be used as anything.

I have gathered all of mine together as a card/letter.

I had a lot to say, so each tag is numbered on the back to keep them in order.

I used quite a few stamp sets and had fun mixing and matching the phrases to get the exact words I needed.  That is the best thing about these stamps for me.  First there are so many phrases and then if you get creative, you can make up your own by mixing, matching and splicing!

All of my images are taken from a Mary Engelbreit desk calendar.

All of my fun papers are from Canvas Corp.

A big thank you to May Arts for my wonderful ribbon.

The buttons?  Are from PaperTrey Ink.

Isn't it great how I was able to get some sort of sentiment for each tag I made?

I am so happy to have these Joy's Life stamps, it makes projects like this so much more fun to put together.

Here is a final peek at all of them together.
I hope you have liked my project for the day.
This has been Jeannie posting for Joy's Life.com.

Make A Wish

Hello everyone! Laura here from Laura's Crafts & More...This week the DT is making "Swatch Books"! I honestly had no clue what a Swatch Book was until now & I hope my take on it is what it was meant to be! :) I made a Swatch Book to give as a birthday gift to someone special! I made 2 "pages" but you could make as many as you need to and fill each one with a different gift card! I would LOVE to receive something like this as a gift!!

I used "Make A Wish" from You're So Punny & "Happy Birthday" from Everyday Occasions...

And here is a close-up of the super amazing stamps from Joy...

Swatch Tags - Birthday (Cameo & Cricut)

Hi everyone... it's Lori with got2bcrafting. I hope you are having a fabulous week!
I am really excited about the project I am sharing today.  I had so much fun creating this little "swatch tag" birthday card, and, it was pretty simple to make as well!!  I used both my Silhouette Cameo and Cricut machines for this.  I really love my Cameo, but I still enjoy using my Cricut too!  I think they will be good friends!! :)
Here is the front tag:
This cute sentiment is from Barnyard Puns.

Here is the inside (backside of front tag, front side of 2nd tag)
The sentiment on the left is from Yummy Puns and the one on the right is from Wild Life Puns.

And finally, this is the backside of the second tag:
The "happy" and "Birthday" stamps are from the very versatile stamp set Everyday Occasions. (I hand wrote the belated)

All of Joy's amazing stamps and crafting goodies can be found on the Joy's Life Products page.

If you would like more details regarding my project today, please stop over at my blog.

Thank you for visiting the Joy's Life Design Team blog. I hope you will be back tomorrow for some DT inspiration.

mini swatch album

Hi everyone! This is Cyndy from Arcy Scraps. Today I have a mini swatch book to share with you. I focused my mini album on the Wild Life Puns stamp set. This set can be so fun, especially with die cuts! I didn't photograph this, but there is a small photo mat on the back of each page.

Hello Organization!!

Hi!! This is Jennie from Earthy Scrap!! This week at Joy's Life we are inspired by paint swatches and I decided to make a swatch book about my latest obsession... Washi Tape.
The first step is admitting you have a problem.
I am not doing such thing because I am not obsessed just dedicated and only quitters quit.
I made the cover with one of the adorable faces from the Smiley Cards Cartridge and I made the polaroid on my Gypsy using paper from the Kaleidoscope Pyramid Paper Pad and the George and Basic Shapes Cart.

I organized it by color and I used both sides of the tags I found in the Winter Frolic Cart. I used both sides to keep it from bulking up and to save paper and space.

I have swatches for my embossing plates and embossing powders but this one looks so much fun!!

This sentiment is from the Set Pun In The Sun.

How do you keep yourself organized??
I hope you enjoyed this!!
Take Care!!

Summer Swatch Tag

Hello everyone!  This is Amy, a.k.a. redheaded crafter!   This week we were asked to make a swatch tag.  I didn't know what I was going to do with this theme!  I went to the store and picked up some paint swatches in different shades of yellows and oranges, and this idea popped into my head!  I decided to use my Bind-it-All to make it kind of like a little mini album.  For this project, I used Pun in the Sun stamps!  Perfect for this type of project....  :)

Have a wonderful day!  :)

swatch book

Hi ladies! I'm here sharing my swatch book/mini album. I wanted to do a fall themed book using photos from our Christmas card shoot last November. I could only choose one photo for our Christmas card last year but there are so many others that are good that I thought creating a little memory album of them to display every fall might be fun.

I used the new It's all Fall puns stamp set that I am just loving. Here's a photo of the cover:
& a close up of the stamp:
& some of the pages:
a closer shot of that stamp:

Isn't this stamp set the cutest?!
If you want to see more &/or check out the products I used, please visit my blog.

& since my summer term is over I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Joy & the rest of the team for welcoming me & helping me over the past three months. It's been so much fun & you guys are amazingly talented. Thanks for having me!
