love you to the core - shaped card

Hello everyone, it's Lori with got2bcrafting!
This week the DT is creating "shaped" cards for friends.  I just happen to have two of THE best friends EVER, and I wanted to make a card to let them know how much they mean to me. So here it is:
That awesome sentiment is from Joy's "It's All Fall Puns". Here is a closer look at it:
Love, Love the fonts Joy used... don't you??

Getting in Shape!

Hi everyone, Maria here from Five Simple Things.
The design team is getting into shape this week
with SHAPE cards with a theme of
friendship!

I used the weld feature in the Cricut Craft Room to create
the base for my shape card using the letters (shadow font) in
Basics the free cart available when you download CCR.

Here's a close up of the vertical sentiment,

Flip Flopping Fabulous!

Make an inexpensive pair of flip flops more meaningful
to the recipient by adding one
of the many punny Joy's Life Sentiments.

You can easily coordinate colors and
styles to make the pair of flip flops.

This sentiment comes from "Pun in the Sun."

To make this flower dimensional, I used Pop Up Glue Dots ® between each layer.
I love how they gives depth, but also they are clear
so you don't see the white edges like regular dimensionals.
Be sure to add fun, flirty embellies too.
Here I used rhinestones, twine, and rumple ribbon.

Check out my blog for more ideas!

Oopsy Daisy!

Hi guys!
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend!

Stacey from Stacey's Creative Corner
and today I get to show you another project using those awesome

This week is all about 3D Flowers!

I decided to make this card and add some dimension to my daisy:

I cut out the daisy layer multiple times to layer them on top of each other with some foam adhesive to make my flower 3D. I then cut apart another daisy layer to give the illusion of some petals falling. I attached them by only adhering the top of the petal and then curling the bottom of the petal up. I added some faux stitching to my card as well as to my bear and flower stem/leaf.

Here is a picture showing some of the dimension:

The "Oopsy Daisy" greeting from the You're So Punny stamp set from Joy's Life, was perfect for my card:

PIcnic Fun - 3x3 note cards and holder

Hello everyone... it's Lori with got2bcrafting!
As you may already know, this week the DT is creating projects with a "picnic" theme. I have to tell ya, I scrapped three different projects before I settled on the one I am sharing today. I sure do hope you like it!
First I created a set of six note cards:

And then I created a cute little box to put them in:

This would make a great gift to give someone, or to keep for yourself. :)

I used the following stamp sets:
"just a note" is from Tag You're It-Set Two
"thanks a bunch", "olive you", "orange you sweet" and "say cheese" are from That Tastes Punny
"love you to the core" is from It's All Fall Puns
You can find these stamp sets, and many more, right here.

If you would like more information about my project, please visit my blog.

Time to Spice Things Up!

What's Shakin'?

Hazy, Hot & Humid greetings from PA!
Maria here from Five Simple Things,
I have a fun gift idea for your favorite
Grill Master!

Summer is not my favorite season,
however, I do enjoy all the opportunities
it brings for gathering with family and friends
for weekend picnics & holiday BBQ's!

I wanted to create something 'spicy'
to bring a smile to the person who
lovingly stands at the hot grill, so I
made this little gift box and threw
in a few yummy seasonings!

I used the stamp "What's Shakin'?
from one of Joy's newer sets,
to decorate my spice box!

Joy's Life (That Tastes Punny) stamp set,
Cricut Craft Room basics.
This was a fast & easy project
that I hope inspires you to create
something fun for your next picnic host!

Seeds the Day!

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N Make Cards!

This week we are featuring Picnic projects!

At first this was a little challenge for me, as I was unsure what I wanted to do!

So I decided to go with the first thing I though of when I thought of a picnic!  I love watermelon, so that was one of the first things I thought of!

With that in mind, I thought I would create a watermelon shaped card!!  I have really enjoyed making shaped cards lately with my Cricut!!

Makes me hungry for some watermelon!!

The fun "Seeds the Day" sentiment is from the That Tastes Punny set!

Beary Best Wishes

Hi guys!
I hope your Saturday is off to a great start!

Stacey from Stacey's Creative Corner
here to share with you another project using those awesome
Joy's Life Stamps!

This week is a free for all!!
Since I am running a little low on birthday cards, I decided to make one to add to my card stash.

I fell in love with this little bear with the frosting all over his face as soon as I saw him in the Silhouette store.

Look how perfect that sentiment is for my card!
My sentiment came from the Punny Animals set.
Look at all the great greetings on there:

happy anniversary CAS card

Hello everyone, this is Cyndy from Arcy Scraps
This week the design team is creating what ever our little hearts desire using Joy's Life stamps. Anything goes! I've been seeing a lot of CAS cards (clean and simple) and thought I'd experiment a little with that.
The sentiment is from Joy's Everyday Occasions stamp set. I love this set because you can mix-and-match the stamps. It's full of possibilities ;)

Totally Awesome, Dudette!!

This sentiment comes from Joy's Life: "My Hero" set.
While this set is filled with thoughtful praises, this "Totally Awesome" phrase reminded me of my 80's youth.  So, I cut out a cassette tape (my favorite mix!!)...some loud neon colors...
added a Madonna-esque bow on that star...
and new rumble CHEVRON Ribbon! (But, back then, we called it ZigZags! lol)

Rumple Ribbon doesn't have to be so rumpled.
I thought keeping it smooth would really show off the fun patterns.  So smooth, that you can easily decorate the inside of your card using this thin, patterned ribbon!

Festive Flower Card

Hi, everyone!  It's Patty here from the Crafty Kitten

You may have noticed that this week here at Joy's Design Team Blog, we are having a free for all.

I've got a simple but colorful card for you that would be easy for you to recreate.

The stamp I used is from Joy's new My Hero stamp set.

It's another great stamp set that can be used in all kinds of ways.  If you don't already have your own, you can get it here.

This card is sized for an A-2 envelope.  I used Doodlebug papers (my favorite) and templates from Kiwi Lane Designs to create it.  Inking around the edges, hand drawn stitching, and a button tops it off.

Well, that is all that I have for you today.  If you get a moment, drop by my blog and leave a comment.  I've announced the winner of the last blog hop.  Is it you?

You're a Smart Cookie

Hello everyone, it's Lori with got2bcrafting!
Here is a fun little card I made to give to my daughter:
This cute sentiment is from "Yummy Puns". This set has sooo many great sentiments! You can take a look at it right here.

Puppies are the BEST!

Happy Saturday, Joy's Life fans.  It's Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers, and I wanted to let you know that today is my birthday!  How fun that I get to post on my big day!
We're having a "free for all" week this week, meaning we can use any theme and any stamp set we wish.  How fun is that?
It worked out perfectly for me, as I needed a couple gifts for 2 friends that got new puppies.  We had a get-together this week to meet the puppies and to introduce the puppies to each other.

Here is what I made for them, using the Joy's Life Punny Animals Stamp Set

These fun treat boxes, filled with puppy biscuits:

I used two different sentiments from the set.
Here's a close up of one of the treat boxes, made with my Silhouette Cameo...

I hope you enjoyed this week of "anything goes" projects.  Now, I'm off to celebrate my birthday.  Woot!
