You're More Powerful than You Know Journal

you're more powerful than you know!

Hi everyone, Maria here from Five Simple Things.
This week the team is playing with
burlap, buttons, kraft and twine
to create some rustic inspiration!

I've created a journal with an
added bonus...a pen holder.

My inspiration came from Pinterest and was exactly
what this homeschooling Mom needed!

I used Joy's wonderful sentiment,
you're more powerful than you know,
from the My Hero set.
Such an encouraging statement, it
was perfect for my journal!

I had so much fun making this,
I even decorated the spine!

Girl Power-Star Shaped Card

Hello everyone! Laura here from Laura's Crafts & More...This week the DT is making fun shaped cards! I wanted to cut something on my Cricut but my Cricut (and other supplies) are buried under all the stuff from moving rooms around the house! My oldest left for college and my youngest wanted his room, which then gives me a bigger, better room for crafting...but all this moving around is driving me crazy!! So I made my own shaped card! I used "Girl Power" & "Hope Your Day Is Amazing" from the set My Hero.

And there is even plenty of room to add my own personalized message!

totally awesome teacher - 3D Pencil

Hello crafters, it's Lori with got2bcrafting!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. :)
This week the Joy's Life DT is celebrating "Back to School".
I always like to have my girls bring in a little something for their new teachers, so I created this fun 3D Pencil to hold some yummy candy:

I added some salt water taffy tied in a cellophane bag:

And, stamped the tag with two different Joy's Life stamps:

The "totally awesome" is from the My Hero stamp set and the "teacher" is from Everyday Occasions stamp set.

I found this great pencil at SVG Cuts.com
The patterned paper is from Fancy Pants Designs.

You can find all of Joy's stamps and crafting goodies right here.

I would love for you to come check out my blog!!

Thanks stopping by today!
I hope you have a Happy, Crafty Day!!

Record this Day file box!

"your a Super kid"

Happy September everyone!
Maria here from Five Simple Things.
This week the Joy's Life team
will be sharing Back to School projects.

recycled box, washi tape,
Echo Park papers
Joy's Life stamps

My project this week helps to encourage a positive attitude
and creates a beautiful memory file over the years.

Record this Day file box.

Each day after school, ask your child to tell you something awesome about their day, then jot it down or have them write
it out if they're old enough.

It's a great way to start a conversation and encourage them to
think about the good in each day!

I created divider cards with scrap paper, number stickers
and Joy's Life, My Hero stamps,
so many encouraging sentiments!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Festive Flower Card

Hi, everyone!  It's Patty here from the Crafty Kitten

You may have noticed that this week here at Joy's Design Team Blog, we are having a free for all.

I've got a simple but colorful card for you that would be easy for you to recreate.

The stamp I used is from Joy's new My Hero stamp set.

It's another great stamp set that can be used in all kinds of ways.  If you don't already have your own, you can get it here.

This card is sized for an A-2 envelope.  I used Doodlebug papers (my favorite) and templates from Kiwi Lane Designs to create it.  Inking around the edges, hand drawn stitching, and a button tops it off.

Well, that is all that I have for you today.  If you get a moment, drop by my blog and leave a comment.  I've announced the winner of the last blog hop.  Is it you?

Easy dimensional kid's card

Today I have a super easy card for you with fun dimensional elements!

I used the sentiment from the My Hero set. The paperclips were already colored, I just bent them into triangles and glued them onto the card with some glossy accents (or maybe it was fabritac). It's simple, but I love how the paper clips look a little like the chevron/arrow trend, and bring in primary colors relating to a kid (or a superhero).

For more information, check out my blog.

Wonderful Woman Flower Pot card

Hi everyone!  I've been having so much fun playing with Joy's new stamp sets and the Silhouette Cameo! I saw this flower pot card kit on the Sil Store and decided to give it a try. It was unbelievably easy to assemble and Joy's stamp just finished it off.
The sentiment "Wonderful Woman" is from Joy's My Hero stamp set.
This is how it looks when you slip it out of the pot.

Don't forget to grab yourself one of the new stamp sets from Joy's Life HERE - or maybe all three! :)

Mom You're My Hero

Hello everyone! Laura here from Laura's Crafts & More...This week for my DT project, I made a Mother's Day tag to go along with a gift.

I used "You're My Hero" from My Hero and "Mom" from Mother/Daughter to create my tag....

I have had these large flowers for over a year and never knew what to do with them, until now! I cut 2 in half, layered them, "brushed" the tops with ink, then "swept" the tops with Stickles. I added some Glossy Accents and beads for the center.

Here is a close-up of the stamps I used & some of the details on the flowers....

I was really pleased with how they turned out! If you would like more info on my tag, please visit my blog HERE

A Quick, Easy & Amazing card!

Hope your day is amazing!

Hi, I'm Maria from Five Simple Things,
sharing a very easy & quick card to make;
Clean And Simple!

Joy's Life sentiment stamp set (My Hero)
I ran some fun patterned Washi tape over
my cardstock, added a few shapes and
stamped the perfect sentiment from
Joy's Life stamp set My Hero!

If you don't have dies or a die-cutting machine
for shapes you could use stickers or maybe hand-cut a star!

Super easy!

Teacher Appreciation

Hi there!
Staci from Precious Memories here to share the little Teacher Appreciation gifts I made for my Daughter to give to all of her teachers.  I used Joyslife.com's New Stamp Set "My Hero
and one of her older sets "Everyday Occasions" (a must have set)

For the "You're a Super Kid" stamp on a few of the bag toppers, I just covered the kid  part of the stamp with a corner of paper, inked it then stamped it on my project and Whala - I could make anyone super :)
Here are some close ups of the stamps

as you can see above I had to white out a part of the "kid" on the stamp I didn't cover it too well...oopsie!

Pop on over to my blog for a little more info on these cuties and a look at the gift I made for her main Teacher.
Thanks for visiting!

I received this coffee sample in the mail and knew right away I wanted to alter the box for a cute simple gift!

Here is the box before....
