Boys Will Be Boys-Layout

Hello everyone! Laura here from Laura's Crafts & More...This week the DT is making scrapbook layouts using Joy's stamps! I haven't done scrap booking in FOREVER so it took me a while to get back into it!

I found these old pics of my boys when cleaning out some stuff a few weeks ago and I just love these pics of them together!!

I used some magic Mesh (I found a whole set of this stuff a while back in my stash and just love it all over again!!) and some truck "buttons" to jazz it up a bit. With boys you can't do too much "jazzing" so I figured this was good enough! :)

I used "Boys Will Be Boys", "Best Buddies" "Best" & "Brother" from the Father /Son set.

My boys are 18 & 15 now, so these take me back and just make me smile!! :)

oh snap! we're bringing it back!

and hooray for Friday!!!!  Sarabeth here from Chronicles of Sarita,
sharing with you my favorite, super simple tip & technique.

most of you who have seen my creations know that I am just in love
with lined paper.  whether it's notebook paper, recycled kraft or
of the legal type ;) ...it's so much fun to play with!  here is the layout I
created using both regular lined paper and lined kraft papers:

the notebook paper (shown close up below) was cut after I did my
journaling with one of my favorite techniques, the good ol' typewriter!
hit that vintage or thrift shop and pick one up!  i'm not a fan of my
handwriting at all and this definitely puts my mind at ease that I can
journal my thoughts, memories, quotes, etc... without having to deal with that.

of course add that fabulous Joy's Life stamp for the perfect finishing touch!
I used the "Oh Snap!" stamp found in the Oh Christmas Puns set-
too cute right!?

below you will see where I placed the Kraft Lined paper,
this was from the Michaels Dollar spot.  sometimes it's fun to journal
on and sometimes it's just a great little addition to your special project :)

That's all for now-I sure do hope you have been stopping by this week
checking out the rest of the DT's Tips, Techniques and Tutorials.
They definitely did a great job sharing such wonderful ideas!!!!!

Happy Scrappin' and have a great weekend!!!!!

We ARE the Wild Life Layout

Megan here again with a fun layout. I started out as a scrapbooker and only recently moved into card making, so this was a fun one for me. I have been meaning to get back to doing more scrapbooking. This photo makes me laugh because my husband and brother-in-law thought it would be fun to 'feed' my daughter to the alligator statue. She thought it was a fun idea too, until they got her up there. Then she started screaming and there were a TON of people standing around, as we were all waiting to be seated at a very popular restaurant. Of course when she started crying they got her down, but I just had this feeling that the people were thinking - 'hmm wonder if something like this is how she broke her foot'? (It wasn't. She broke her foot jumping off of something in gymnastics.)

So, I thought that the title 'we ARE the wild life' would be perfect for this page. It is from the Wildlife Puns stamp set, of course. I also thought that the 'that bites' from the Sweet Popsicle puns set was pretty perfect too.
Head on over to my blog for more info on this fun layout.

Going Home Layout

Hello!! This is Jennie from Earthy Scrap!!
This week at Joy's Life we are featuring the
Everyday Occasions Stamps and the Holiday Occasions Stamps.
I love these sets because they give you the opportunity to
mix and match to make your own sentiments.
You can buy both of them HERE!!

My daughter is almost three but this photo
was taken a three days after she was born,
when we were finally taking her home.
She was sooo quiet and, such a good baby.

I dressed up this piece of chipboard with a little twine and a puffies sticker.
The blue paper is the back of the neighborhood paper, which I also used for the title
and I heat embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder.
For the word Baby I used the Everyday Occasions Stamps Set
and the rest are from the Holiday Occasion Set.

Behind the photo I hid this tag and on the back of the tag I'm going to babble a little about the trip home.
The Mother's Day stamp is from the Holiday Occasions Stamp Set.

It took me three years to scrapbook this photo but I really liked it, I hope you like too!!
For more close ups you can check out my blog Earthy Scrap.
